Local partner: Corporacion Ecosofica Nueva Alianza

The non-profit-making association "Corporacion Ecosofica Nueva Alianza" was founded in Medellin during 1981 with the objective to promote sociocultural and educational activities. This allows the integration of the sectors marginalized in society, particularly women and children. During the last few years, the association has been especially centered on the forced displacements of children and their families, mainly because of the violence in their areas. They are forced to live in Medellin in sub-human living conditions.

In order to prevent these "at risk" children from finding themselves on the streets, the association develops educational, nutritional and health projects and works intensely with the families and the communities which surround them. This helps the children improve their development.
